What Can Help Get Rid Of The Space Between The Upper Front Teeth And The Lower Teeth?

Hi, there are many procedures available to get rid of space between teeth, firstly you can go in for a composite filling between the teeth, that is tooth colored and will fill the gap effectively, its not very expensive also. The other option can be to get a cap on your teeth so since the cap (crown) will give your teeth new shape the gap would be filled.

your teeth are affected by gingivitis and periodontitis.
the spacing after cleaning is due to the accumulation of food debris ,plaque and hard deposits of plaque called calculus, which has got removed while cleaning the teeth.

this is not your dentist'S FAULT.
as you have not maintained good oral hygiene,the plaque deposited heavily in between your teeth.
this caused drifting or pathological migration of adjacent teeth.
the resulting gap must be corrected by orthodontic appliance/ceramic bridges/veneering.
the treatment can be diagnosed depending on the gap present in between your teeth.
visit your dentist in every 6 months.
brush your teeth twice daily using soft-interdental toothbrsh and dental floss.
clean your mouth after every meals and do not allow deposition of plaque on your teeth further.
use chlorhexidine mouthrinse to gargle.

i can understand the trauma you are going through but trust your dentist, he/she did a good job lest you would have lost your front teeth to mobility in a few years from now. for the gaps caused you may go for composite or veneers which are less costly than braces

The gaps in your teeth are due to the calculus causing recession in your gums. when the dentist removed the calculus and the swelling went down you saw where your gums were actually residing due to a combination of teeth angulation, oral hygiene and age. Believe me, he did not cause these gaps, the lack of oral hygiene did. Having the gaps filling with calculus is not the remedy and is not pleasant to see on someone, or smell. Yes, people can smell it on your breath. Even if you go to an orthodontist to close the gaps, you would still have to keep pristine oral health care because you can have your teeth get full of cavities due to the difficulty to clean around the braces.

Other options would be to place composite on the teeth, veneers or crowns. Each one of these options costs more than the next and requires more tooth structure to be cut away. I am glad that you went to the dentist to take care of the build up because if you kept it on there the gaps would have gotten worse.

Braces would be good to correct spaces, but if the teeth are touching and it's where the gums should be, then you might want to talk to a periodontist to see if they can close the "black triangles" Without seeing a picture of your teeth or evaluating you in person, I can't confidently say which would be best for you.

Even though there is possibility of opening ( not creating ) the gaps between teeth due to scaling or cleaning the calculus formed over long period on teeth surface, it should be done with no doubts.

Because after all tarter or calculus is more harmful to your oral health than gap between healthy teeth.

Now for closure of the gaps between the teeth, you can go for orthodontic treatment.
Even though it can be treated with placement of crowns or veneers, i think it should be the last choice as both are invasive methods.

Crown placement or veneers require cutting of normal tooth structure for impression making where as in orthodontic treatment with the help of braces teeth are moved close to reduce the gap between them.

Also closure of the gaps using braces will give the natural look compared to crown placement or veneers.

Yes, braces would definitely cost you more than rest two, but if you can afford then you should definitely stick to it.

As you said you have these gaps after scaling of your teeth,not before that.

So there is a possibility that this gap is due to calculus removal,which will be all right with in 10-15 day.

So i would suggest you nothing to get worried,wait till 10-15 days and observe,if after 15 days also you feel such gap,visit your dentist and get thorough clinical check up done and take a symptomatic treatment.

I understand that you went to dentist to get cleaning or scaling done. The spaces which have opened up is due to removal of tartar which if not removed will further damage your gums and lead to gum infection. Do you feel the spaces between your teeth have increased lately? It is better that you get an OPG to check your general bone condition and to rule out periodontitis. Depending on that your treatment plan can be decided.

The options to close the spaces are braces, composite filling if the space is minimal,veeners and crowns.It is better to visit the dentist to review these options.

According to your clinical symptoms i suppose that spaces which are created in your teeth are due to the removal of calculus and plague from your teeth at the time of scaling and polishing.
For closure of the spaces i would suggest you suggest you to visit an Orthodontist get the checkup done, Take an OPG radiograph and discuss the treatment plans.
Spaces can be removed with the help of orthodontic braces, veneers or crowns, discuss with your Dentist.

cleaning calculus does not increase the gap. gap between your tooth was increased due to many reason may be due to pathological migration.
following treatment can be done beside orthodontic treatment
1.composit filling
2 veneering
3.full crown
if the gap is more thn full crown will be the option but it will cause the loss of ur tooth structure during tooth preparation.

There can be many reasons for gap in front teeth like- trauma, sever periodontal infection , congenital, hereditary.
There can be many ways to get it corrected like-
Braces.
Tooth veneering.
Crown placement on the tooth.
But as you go down the procedure becomes more invasive.
I suggest you to visit dentist and discuss the pros and cons of each treatment option and then choose that best suits you.

please dont accuse your dentist because he just removed the calculus between your teeth which were actually damaging the gums and creating space between teeth.so its the calculus and not the dentist who created the gap
now what i would suggest is that before any prosthetic treatment please maintain proper oral health .
for this u need to do following
1.luke warm saline rinses 4-6 times daily
2.hexidine mouthwash after breakfast
3.also dont forget to brush before you go to sleep after dinner
now about your concern about your prosthetic
you have three option viz
1.orthodontic treatment which is expensive , time taking but non invasive
2.3/4th crown which is less expensive , invasive but less time taking
3.full crown which is also less expensive and time taking but most invasive
if you go with option 2 or 3 try to have an appointment with prosthodontist
if you go with option 1 you nedd an orthodontist

first of all, please don't blame your dentist for removing the tartar... if not removed, it could lead to bone loss, tooth mobility and tooth loss also...
best treatment for gaps is braces... another one is going for restorations depending upon the amount of gaps... you please consult your dentist for proper clinical evaluation...
