What Can I Do About My Continous Sinusitis And Chest Infection?

I have been ill since the end of December, firstly with sinusitis, which did not clear, then a chest infection, which still have. I have taken three courses of antibiotics. My tongue has a very thick coating, in spite of brushing it and most food and drink taste awful. What can I do about it?

Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

The symptoms and your treatment history suggests me that you may be having some remote infection which is causing all these symptoms.

As your symptoms are persisting even after taking three courses of antibiotics, I would suggest you to undergo chest X ray, complete blood picture and the blood culture and sputum culture.

The aforementioned investigations help us to find out the reason for your symptoms and then we can proceed with the treatment.

Thank you.
