What Cause Feeling Of Trapped Wind And Bloating In The Stomach?
I have been experiencing stomach problems for some time, i frequently experience a feeling of trapped wind, bloating, in the stomach which rises to my chest. i also suffer from headaches and tiredness. I have coeliac disesase and have a strict gluten free diet. I am struggling with sleep and have a dry mouth and yellow coating on my tongue in the mornings. There does not appear to be any significant trigger but has been occuring over the past two years.
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I noted the history of celiac disease, bloating, stomach coming up, on a strict gluten free diet. With the history you have given the causes of symptoms are obvious. Although you are on gluten free diet there still can be many a foods and beverages that can cause bloating.
Aerated drinks can cause these problems. Stress and anxiety give such symptoms and if controlled well can be of great benefit. Intestinal infection or overgrowth of gas producing bacteria too can be the cause and a course of an antibiotic and Metronidazole can be of great help. Consult your Doctor, discuss these points, and get properly treated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant
