What Cause Headache After Sleep?

When I lay down for more than 3 hours, I always wake up with a headache. I use 2 pillows to prop my head up but that has not helped. The last 2 nights I have almost been in an upright position and have not had any headaches. I don t sleep well this way and wonder what is wrong with me.....should I go to a Nuero? Thank You, Mick

Thank you for choosing HCM

It seems that you have a migraine. A migraine is a recurring type of headache that occurs due to a trigger factor. In your case, sleep is the trigger factor. Do consider if you are sleeping well and if everything is alright while sleeping. If something is amiss, you may find it useful to change it.

Also, try the following home remedies to see if they help you:
Inhale steam mixed with Eucalyptus oil to clear the nasal passages
Drink lots of water
Sleep well and get at least 8 hours of sleep a day
Take a Paracetamol 500 when you feel you are about to get a headache

Follow up after 5 days. All the best.
Hope this helps you
