What Cause Irritation And Swelling In The Body?

I have severe skin problems. Almost every day I experience irritation and swelling in the body. Sometimes, the swelling in the eyes and mouth. Sometimes the sound does not come out. Dr give medication xyzal (take if not worse) and trincort (take if severe). It has been almost 2 years I take these drugs. Are these drugs will cause another disorder.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It seems to urticaria or with angiodema. I would recommend you to get your blood tests: complete blood count, thyroid function tests, serum IgE levels, complement 4 levels, anti TPO levels and urine routine. Xyzal can be taken safely for long duration.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
