Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 58 old boyfriend is not sexual. I am 55. He had test done and his testerone levels are fine. He tried Viagra years ago. Maybe it helped a few times. He says I talk too much during love making and it s a turn off. I have stopped talking and still a no go. I presume that he is not attractive to me and that is the reason, have asked, he says not the problem, he just does not get aroused. Still no sexual activity. Have had sex twice in 4 years. Do not understand. I have given up. Any suggestions?
1. Since most of the investigation are fine thus it could be more of psychological problem ( performance anxiety) or any feel of guilt about sexual enjoyment.
2. Make sure he is not taking anything which supresses libido: beta blockers, cimetidine, diuretic, estrogen derivatives, addiction to alcohol/opiates.
4. Sexual and Perineal exercise are the most important part of treatment,i.e from non genital pleasuring ( kissing) to genital pleasuring ( with hand or mouth but without orgasm) to extravaginal orgasm ( no penetration) to intravaginal ejaculation.
