What Cause Pain In Leg After Spinal Fusion Surgery?
I had a Spinal fusion of L4 and L5 on December 8,2014. This operation was necessary to relieve nerve pain from a pinched nerve, due to labor and delivery. My question is after the surgery the pain in my leg never went away and now is some what worse. My surgeon says he can t do any more for me and has released me from his care. please advise I am in total pain.
I recommend taking Pregabalin or Gabapentin for the chronic pain management. Another possible treatment option is duloxetine. These drugs can be taken for years ,and do not cause addiction or tolerance.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
