What Cause Prolonged Vaginal Spotting Post Abortion And Placement Of IUD?
Hello doctor, I had a vacuum abortion 40 days ago and had a copper IUD put in at the same time. I experienced 4 days of blooding (higher than regular period), and since then I have been having spotting and brownish discharge until now. In the mean time, I find my leucorrhea is thicker and heavier. Is it normal? I had intercourse two weeks after the abortion, does it has anything to do with it? Thank you!

Vaginal bleeding can occur after insertion of IUD. If the bleeding and leucorrhea are prolonged, I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
