Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a bump on my back. It has a black dot on the top. If i squeeze it very hard soft, dry pus comes out. The pus is white in color and smells very bad. Ive had this bump for four years now. I squeeze the pus out, but it builds up again over time. It doesn t hurt at all. What is it?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a painless bump on the back that produces a dry and white substance can be most probably a Sebaceous cyst and and the black spot seems to be Peduncle.. As it is persistent since 4 years it needs proper medical attention and treatment..
I would suggest you to consult a General Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and if needed investigations like Biopsy can help in diagnosis for planning the appropriate treatment..
In case if it is a sebaceous cyst then it can be removed surgically be either Marsupilization or complete excision by Enucleation.. It will be followed by regular dressings and also a course of antibiotics and painkillers..
