What Cause Sensation Lost Feeling In My Finger?

Hi Doctor, This is venkat, i am suffering from sensation lost of my right hand index finger and thumb and left side of middle finger from past 6 months. i am not able to tie my shirt buttons, and also not able to hold the pen even 3 minutes. but my strength of the hand is absolutely fine. i undergone for NCV, EMCG, blood tests.. finally doctor said that the motor nerve of thumb week and ulnar nerve blocked at wrist. now the doctor telling that it is CIDP . could you please tell me that, is it treatable by tablets of if there is need of any surgery. please advise me. thanks venkat

Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy is an extremely rare disorder. I hope they have come to a correct diagnosis. If its correct then no surgery is required. It is managed medically and you can try various treatments as offered by your Physician. All the best. I would also advice you to take a second opinion on how the diagnosis was reached. Take care,
