What Caused Sudden Loss Of Taste, Burning Tongue Which Feels Large And Nexium Not Working As Well?
Hello, and thank you, I am a 65 year old lady living in Australia. 4 weeks ago I lost my sense of all taste.. nothing at all is working. I have not had a meal in all that time...losing weight and feeling very frustrated with this condition. Yes, my tongue is burning and feels large in my mouth. I take Nexium daily and have changed the brand to see if that may help....but no. No ulcers or mouth issues at all...... What do you think.
Hello, Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query. I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through. I think this could be a B12 deficinecy. You need to get the b12 levels done. Also get a complete blood count done. It could be an allergy as well and then would respond to cetrizine or avil. Hope I am able to answer your concerns. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you. In future if you wish to contact me directly, you can use the below mentioned link: bit.ly/dr-srikanth-reddy
