Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi i have a great nephew that is 3 years old. About 3 weeks ago when I saw him he looked great but we did see that he had a black eye and also had a lot of bruises in several other places in his body. We found out today that he had Bell's Palsy. My question is what do you think, can what caused these bruises be the reason for that.
As per your query, symptoms your nephew is having does not seems like that of Bell's palsy as in that there is facial spasms and eye blinking and movements in eye because of nerve impingement or pressure on facial nerve.
I would suggest you to visit oral and maxillofacial surgeon once and get it examined to rule out nerve compression, neuralgia or other hematological conditions. Start treatment after thorough examination and proper diagnosis. Take soft and light food.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
