What Causes Erb S Palsy?
Hi what are the causes of erbs palsy , my daughter was 7lb 5, Normal vaginal birth no complications,she could bearly move her right are when she was born, there was also a popping sound whe the midwife pulled her out, 7 years later a surgeon told me it was dislocated . He done surgery on her and fixed the dislocation, I was just wondering if you had any ideas on what caused this

Erb's palsy is a paralysis of the upper extremity resulting from a traction injury to the brachial plexus during birth.Erb's palsy can affect different root levels between C5 and T1.The cause of it arises from a traction injury,which may include breach births,babies with high birth weight and foreceps or vacum suction deliveries
