After a week long cold (bronchial and sinus), I have a very strong ammonia smell when attempting to eat. I have been taking over the counter chest congestion med with guaifenesin and dextromethorphan. What would cause the smell? Only I can smell it by the way.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here I could say that if you have the ammonia like smell then this could be due to the sinus infection and in my opinion better to have Tab Loratidine with pseudoephedrine three times in day, drink lot of water and have a steam inhalation, take care and have a nice day.
