What Causes A An Itchy Sensation In The Ear With Tinnitus?

Hi for about eight months now I have a strange feeling in my left ear that feels like something is moving in their and the only thing that takes it off is when I gently place my finger in it but it soon comes back every few mins so sick of it my GP checked and said its fine and very clean , also have tinnitus thank you Elaine .

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you having itching sensation on your ear along with tinnitus . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like ear infection or otitis media , stress and anxiety , temporomandibular problem , impacted tooth , hearing loss ( most common ) and alteration in local or general blood pressure . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist or ototlaryngologist for proper examination . Doctor may examine ear with otoscope and order certain test like audiometery test , rotatory teat , blood pressure and CT scan . Doctor may refer you to oral surgeon if there is problem related to temporomandibular joint or impacted tooth . Doctor may prescribe sedatives , anti inflammatory along with supplement like ginko biloba .
