What Causes A Blister To Appear When Closing Eyes For Long Periods?

I had an infection in my one eye (wore contacts a little too long) and it started forming a blister on the white part of the eye. I took vigamox and all other symptoms went away but this blister appears everytime I sleep. Only when my eye is closed for a long period of time and I wake up - I will notice it. It will then go away and re-appear the next morning. I have seen 6 doctors and they can never see these bubbles in daytime so they ell me its an allergy and send me off with drops. It is only in one eye!!! Isn't it possible that the infection hasn't cleared and when my eye is closed it isn't breathing so the infection causes my eye to bubble?
