What Causes A Clot In The Leg After Miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage about three weeks ago and a d and c about 2 weeks ago. A bit latter I noticed a bump on my leg..and a while later it became a bruise. My mom says it could either be a clot or that I had bumped my leg on something and forgot about it...do I need to go see a doctor to make sure its not a clot from the dnc?

hi
welcome to HCM
I have understand your concern

there was a week time between the miscarriage and curettage
normally presence of miscarriage products inside the bomb leads to abnormal coagulation process and disseminated intravascular coagulation- DIC

may be DIC is the cause of your leg problem

I can suggest you to get done

Doppler study of the leg
hemogram
PT,INR
bleeding time and clotting time

hope this helps you
thanks
