What Causes A Faint Murmur In The Heart Beat?
My son is 16. He had his annual physical yesterday. His pediatrician heard a faint murmur and referred him to a cardiologist. There are no other symptoms that we are aware of. She said she wants to be safe in this matter. Is there a cause for concern?

If he has no complaints then nothing to be worried. Sometimes there is a benign murmur in children and young adults without any abnormality. Anyway we always need to check to be in the safe side.
