What Causes A Hard Bump With Throbbing Pain On The Right Ankle?

I suddenly woke up with a swell on my right ankle, just next to the bony part of the ankle. I can move my foot ok, but when I want to stand up and put weight on it, it hurts. There is like a small harden bump like the size of on of my thumb (or smaller) in that are and it is throbbing.

what you are describing looks like a abscess please give hot formentation to the area and apply t bact ointment in and around the area hopefully this should help if not and if you get fever please start with Augmentin 625mg twice a day
