What Causes A Lump Near The Hip Bone?

I have a protruding lump near my hip bone which materialized after lifting two water cans afew days ago. No pain. I do have an asymmetrical pelvis right leg shorter on that side from auto accident. I am 64 but in very good shape Could this be a pulled muscle no pain however.

nothing can be diagnosed without local examination get examined by a surgeon.take MRI of protruded areaanwith result consult with surgeon. it is linked to straining by by lifting water. till it is diagnosed do not lift any weight.
