What Causes A Mole On The Arm?

Hello Doctor, My sister has a mole on her arm which has become bit bigger and looks awful . No pain but sometimes itchy . I am a dentist myself and am concerned if it is skin cancer . She has had biopsy and taken two opinions and was treated for leprosy but no change . I am not sure if u can help me with this .can you please let me know if you will be able to diagnose this . Pls get back to me asap on YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

Only enlargement in size of the mole is not signed of cancer like melanoma. Asymmetrical border formation, color changes etc are some additional factor. However, as it is enlarged in size it's better to get it removed and send it for a histopathology examination.
