Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes A Painful Knot At Bottom The Hairline?
I have a knot at the bottom of my hairline that causing pain & stiffness in my ear, neck, shoulders & a headache. I also have a bacterial infection (have appointment) & a neck injury. Could the BV be causing swollen lymph nodes or is this linked to an injury?
The swollen lymph nodes are related to the bacterial infection in the neck. This could also be related to the trauma. For this reason, I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam. In the meantime, I recommend using a local ointment with antibiotics (neomycine, gentamycine, etc).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
