What Causes A Rash On Face Of A Child After Hepatitis Vaccination?
my 20 month old got her 2nd hep v vac on fri and vomitted on sat am and has been goin on and off until now. we bought pedialyte and she hates it shes got a fever of 101 shes also had stinky diarhea since sat. now shes got a flat rash red around her face upper shoulders and a lil on her neck should i be concerned?
Hi...I don't think all this is related to vaccination she has got. This seems like a viral diarrhoea. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry. I suggest you use zinc supplements (Z&D drops 1ml once daily for 14 days) & ORS (Each small packet mixed in 200ml of potable water and keep giving sip by sip) as hydration is very important and crucial part of treatment. If there is vomiting you can use Syrup Ondansetron (as prescribed by your paediatrician). Regards - Dr. Sumanth
Hello Fever , diarrhea .and rash is not related to vaccination. You need to be concerned if baby has high fever, large watery motions, baby is dull or irritable, passing less urine. Thanks
