I am a 35 year old female and I have recently discovered a red line under one tooth on my gum. What could this be? I can not get in to see my dentist until next week. I am very worried about this and can't help but think this is some type of oral cancer. Please help!!
This cannot be oral cancer.Do not panic. This can be stains on the tooth or plaque with chromogenic organisms.A sitting of professional scaling will be necessary to remove the stains.Take doxy-1 for three days. Also take a OTC pain killer if necessary to control pain. Maintain good oral hygiene. You might require a curettage, after a clinical examination.
Regards.
