What Causes A Small Nodule Under The Left Arm?

I have a small nodule under my left arm that I m uncertain about. I had a benign cyst removed from under my right arm years ago and I think it might be the same thing. It s been there about 6+ weeks but hasn t changed in shape or size. I don t know if I need to have it removed? Is there a way to know what it is without visiting my Doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It should definitely be worked up with a baseline ultrasound and if solid content is suspected then FNAC may be performed. Any chance of malignant or neoplastic growth should be ruled out. Also any lymph nodes enlargement or chronic inflammatory pathologies should be ruled out. Treatment is excision if proven however most likely seems to be a benign lesion.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
