What Causes A Strong Electrifying Feel Around The Chest Region?
I take a number of meds for a fib with a high rate, degenerative disk, and asma. the past couple of days i have been getting a really strong electrical shock wave through my chest down to my inner thigh. it only last a few seconds, but it is so strong it doubles me over in pain.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Since you are having atrial fibrillation (AF), worsening of AF can also cause similar kind of electric shock feeling. So get done 1. Ecg 2. 2d echo 3. Holter monitoring (24 hours continuous recording of ecg) If it is found that AF is uncontrolled then you should get done Radio frequency Ablation (RFA) because RFA is permanent solution for AF. So consult cardiologist and discuss all these. Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
