Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes A Subarticular Cyst On The Acetabular Surface Of Head?
I have a subarticular cyst formation on the acetabular & femoral head surfaces which has cased severe narrowing of the right hip joint space. This has caused subarticular sclerosis & large geode formation & flattening & depression of a femoral head contour. I limp badly prefer to stand than sit and have referred pain. What is the long term diagnosis please?
It is a kind of degenerative change and surgical correction is needed probably. Consult an orthopedic and he will direct you accordingly. In severe cases, a hip replacement may be required.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing you all the best.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
