What Causes A Tingling Sensation In One Side Of The Face?

I have tingling in the left side of my face (in the bony area below and to the left of the eye). It doesn t tingle constantly, but does tingle at least once a day. It can last minutes or hours (slight tingling) and the skin looks red and is warm to the touch. This started a few weeks ago. I thought I should mention that the first time I felt the tingling was the day I handled my sister s camera (she had shingles at that time).

The tingling sensation over the face can occur secondary to exposure to cold or facial nerve palsy of post viral infection like herpes zoster. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take nerve regenerating drugs like Vitamin B6 and 12.
