What Causes Abdominal And Lower Back Pain On Day After Intercourse?
i have abdominal and lower back pain the day after sexual intercourse. Actually, it's been bad for about a year. I had a colon resection in 2001 and intercourse has never been without some pain since then. I'm ready to give up on intercourse. I am 56 years old and know that I have scar tissue...paps are not easy. Any advice?
You had a colon ressection. After that you have developed pain after the intercourse. There is a ligament which goes from back of the uterus to the lower part of the backbone. If this ligament gets inflammed, such pain can be experienced. Course of some antiinflammatory drugs like NSAID can help. The abdominal pain can be due to swelling and/or infection of uterus. Please get examined vaginally from your ObGyn physician to rule out that. If it is there, then a course of antibiotics with NSAID may help. Such pain can also be found if the penis presses on the ovaries, which can happen if the ovaries have fallen into the space between the vagina and rectum. But such pain is experienced while the penis is inside the vagina.
