What Causes Abdominal Bloating After Eating A Little?

Lately, I ve been getting extremely hungry (to the point of nausea and vomiting), but after eating only 3 or 4 bites of food, I feel completely full (as if I just binged at the Chinese Buffet). I have tested negative for H-Pylori and the Internal Medicine Specialist I consulted with does not believe I could have an ulcer (as when I vomit, there is not presence of blood), so he refuses to do an endoscopy. This has been going on for well over a month now, where I am vomiting at least 2-3x a week (sometimes even multiple times a day) but have not been able to find answers to why this is happening (no change in diet or medications). I have Hashimoto s Autoimmune Disease (hypothyroidism), but it is currently managed by a high dose of synthroid. What else could possibly be causing these stomach/digestive issues? I am tired of having prescriptions thrown at me to dull the symptoms (tacta and ondansetron) but no answers as to what the cause could be. I would really appreciate some insight as I would like to be feeling better ASAP.

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that you might be having GERD which cause all these symptoms and you can take antacid on regular basis and avoid fried and spicy food. It’s recommended for you to get a usg abdomen done to rule out gall stones and fatty liver.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
