Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having stomach issues for over 1 year. It initially improved when I eliminated gluten and dairy but almost every day, after eating, my stomach gets very gassy and uncomfortable. I am wanting to get to the cause and not simply mask the symptoms. I eat vegetables (cooked and raw), fresh fruit ( about 2 /day) and grilled or baked protein.( nothing is fried,) I typically drink water and2 cups coffee through out the day. Any ideas on what I should do next?
For celiac disease diagnosis anti-endomysial antibody and anti-tissue transglutaminase antibody can be investigated. If antibody positive than endoscopic biopsy can be taken and gluten can be avoided in the diet.
Lactose intolerance also causes for bloating for which daily product restricted. Stress, eating too fast, smoking, alcohol and excess carbonated drink etcetera can also lead to bloating. Consult a physician for examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami

What Causes Abdominal Bloating After Having Food?
Hello, You have stomach issues after eating a gluten diet. Hence gluten hypersensitivity can be present and rule out celiac disease for that.
