hi dear. thanks for trusting HCM. I understood your concerns. may I know how long have you used wellbutrin? did you use another drug along with wellbutrin?
firstly, Wellbutrin contains
bupropion which is an anti-depressant medicine used to treat
depression disorder. It can improve your mood and feelings of well-being.
this drug can cause abdominal discomfort such as
nausea,
vomiting, stomach pain,
constipation or bloated. it can cause weight gain, but
weight loss is more common rather than gain. although it's rare, here some reasons how weight gain could happen while on wellbutrin: some improving in mood can increase food cravings, boost appetite, and other changes that can result in modest weight gain.
Remember that your doctor has prescribed this drug with that dosage because he had judged that it's the best for you. if you feel the 150 mg is better, you should discuss with your treating doctor. Do not stop using Wellbutrin suddenly, or you could have unpleasant
withdrawal symptoms. if you feel that such an unusual weight gain, please contact your doctor. he will advice the best option for you.
I hope these can be useful for you. if you have another question, please do not hesitate to ask me in HCM. take care.
best regards,
dr. Asti Yuliadha
