What Causes Abdominal Bloating Along With Dry Heaves And Blood In Saliva?
I have throw up blood twice now. Red at first and then like a brownish color. once in December and just a few days ago. I really don t have any pain. Have had a lot of indigestion and bloating lately, but not continuously and if I take a pepcid I am ok. They say it is an emergency and go to the hospital, but both times it has stopped and no other problems but maybe a little dizzy. I was for some time constantly feeling as if I had to throw up, but once I ate I would feel better, but sometimes I would just throw up spit or stomach foam or just have the dry heaves. Have not had that for a while and now this.
You may want to consider seeing your GP. The bleeding may be due to esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus) or may indicate there may be gastritis (inflammation of the stomach) or ulcer of the stomach.
You may be referred to a gastroenterologist for a scope of the stomach and esophagus to determine if any of these are present.
Instead of the pepcid, you may want to try nexium, prilosec, prevacid, protonix which belong to the proton pump family of medications. These suppress acid production more than pepcid though can take a few days for full effect.
I hope this helps
