What Causes Abdominal Bloating Along With Stiffness In Back?
Feeling an odd movement on my right side, stomach and rolling/tightening feeling in my back. Nothing I have ever felt before. Stomach seems slightly bloated. No pain or fever. Eating doesn t seem to matter. This has lasted about 7-10 days now. Going to the Dr end of the week. I have moderate UC diagnosed 14 years ago. This feels different. My last colonoscopy July 2nd showed active ulcerative colitis in the rectum. Nothing much above. My tests came back normal. What could this possibly be? Thank you, Becky
You have a history of ulcerative colitis. UC has a tendency to trigger pain, bloating, diarrhea, etc. You are suggested to take small amount of food at a time. Avoid big portions, maintain your eating time, avoid food that triggers allergy and hence bloating, cut on sugar and alcohol.
Avoid constipation. Take digestive enzyme supplements. Take probiotics. For relief you can take antacids and PPI's.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
