Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 87 years old, and had a CT Scan as I have had a lot of gas and no appetite. The scan showed that I had a cyst on the right ovary and one on the left. About 15 years ago during a routine OB exam, they found a cyst. It was watched for about a month. The doctor concluded that it was not cancerous and I should just leave it alone. What should I do now?
If you have any symptoms regarding the right ovarian cyst, like pain, then please get the CT scan or an MRI now. The doctor can then see of there is any increase in the size of the cyst, and if it needs to be removed. At-least, you may get an ultrasound examination of your abdomen to see for any increase i size of the cyst.
