I burp due to bloating in the stomach which happens after a meal. Sometimes before I could burp out it will pinch my chest and instantly I will feel a little dizzy. Its a kind of imbalance feeling. Please explain scientifically why this happens and what I should do.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It seems to be functional gastric upset of stomach or acid reflux like condition. You can be prescribed Pantoprazole tablet for that for 1 week. Avoid high fatty meal as it delays gastric emptying. Avoid smoking as it can relax LES. Avoid excess spicy foods.

Head elevated while sleeping putting pillow below head. Avoid stress and take green leafy vegetables and fruits more, avoid excess carbonated drink. If no improvement then we will think further. Consult physician for examination if needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
