What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Pain After Intake Of Certain Food?

I get really sharp and intense stomach pain and extreme bloating after eating certain foods. I never had this problem until I recovered from a history of diet pill abuse, laxative abuse, and anorexia. What happened in my body to cause this pain? It happens after eating apples, pineapple, mushrooms (raw and cooked), and broccoli (raw and cooked.)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to an intolerance to several foods. I suggest using Simethicone medications three times a day for the bloating. I also suggest to avoid the foods that trigger these symptoms.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
