What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Swelling In Leg Post Shoulder Surgery?

I had surgery on my shoulder about 4 weeks ago since then i have been having problems sleeping. My stomach has extended and my left leg at the ankle and foot is swallon. I have back problems so I see a pain management doctor. I take opana 40mg ER. hydrocodone 10/300, and gabapentin 300mg 1 pill three times daily. My primary care doctor has me on testim three 1mg tubes daily, metoprolol, maxide 37.5-25, temazepam. My urine output has slowed but still going. What would make my stomach extend and my leg swell.

Hello,

Stomach distention may be caused by the following conditions:
1) Gastric ulcer
2) Gastroesophageal reflux
3) Duodenal ulcer
4) Indigestion
5) Cholecystitis

I would suggest you to take tab. Rabeprazole 20 mg twice daily before food. It will help you decrease the bloating sensation. Swelling in left leg and ankle is due to the following:
1) Prolonged bed rest
2) Kidney disease
3) Heart failure
4) Deep venous thrombosis
5) Varicose veins.

You need to consult your physician for clinical examination and few tests like:
1) Kidney function tests
2) ECG
3) 2D echocardiography
