What Causes Abdominal Bloating, Nausea And Headaches After Child Birth?
Hi I had a baby 14weeks ago and experienced brown discharge for 3 days an then it stopped. I m experiencing other symptoms like bloating, nausea, cramps an head aches. Since the discharge has stopped the systoms has continued wit no period as yet. I also took a pregnancy test it was negative. Is there cause for concern? What may be the cause for the discharge an systoms? I am also breast feeding.
Let me tell you that discharge after delivery is quite common. As you may be lactating so there will be no periods as of now. So far as bloating, nausea and cramps are concerned, these may be due to hyperacidity resulting from lack of physical activity, some medicines and/or spicy food. I'd suggest see a physician who may prescribe an H-2 receptor antagonist or a proton pump inhibitor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
