What Causes Abdominal Cramps With The History Of Hysterectomy?
15 yrs ago I had a hysterectomy due to endometriosis. The surgeon left my cervix and part of my left ovary ( he said since I was so young he didn t want me taking hormones for the rest of my life) I haven t had any problems til recently the last couple of days I have been having period like cramps. It is weird since I haven t had cramps in 15 years. My question is could the endometriosis be back? Does a hysterectomy cure it?
Endometriosis can occur at sites other than uterus. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment and pelvic ultrasound to look for recurrence of endometriosis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
