What Causes Abdominal Pain And Blood In Urine To A 11 Year Old?

Im trying not to get overwhelemed or scared...my 11 year old daughter has bllod in her urine. Her pediatrician has referred her for an ultrasound of her bladder and kidneys. She will have the test done tomorrow morning. She also has some abdominal pain. Is this a possible serious situation?
