What Causes Abdominal Pain, Diarrhea, Cold Sweats With Syncope?
A couple of months ago I woke up in the middle of the night with sever abdominal pain, diarrhea, and cold sweats. I was having severe abdominal pain and after a bowel movement I found myself passed out. I had been out for approx 15 minutes. This has happened two more times. Last night, I woke up again with severe abd pain and diarrhea. I started having cold sweats. This is scaring me and I don't know what is causing this. I have a small umbilical hernia which my doctor has never done anything for. I have had this hernia for 6 years. Can you please help me?
The underlying cause of narrated symptoms is intestine infection with secondary changes from fluid electrolyte imbalance giving syncope. As the umbilical hernia is small, it is not contributory here.
Maintain your hydration with plenty liquids till you meet your GP for further management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
