What Causes Abdominal Pain Followed By Diarrhea And Nausea?
Hi, I'm a 29 year old female 145 lbs. I started with abdominal pain on my right side under my rib cage that woke m up in the middle of the night two weeks ago followed by diarrhea and nausea. I went to an urgent care center who sent me for an ultra sound which came back as normal (no gallstones) last week but my symptoms have no resolved. I've also noticed an abnormal amount of belching and heartburn recently, could this be my gallbladder or do you think it is something else?

HI.Since the ultrasonography is showing normal gall bladder, not commented on pancreas - means to be taken as normal.
The most probable cause can be gastro-enteritis. Get an antibiotic cover for 5 days , you may be OK.
To rule out gastrointestinal cancers and other such problems , better to undergo CT scan of the abdomen also.
