What Causes Abdominal Pain While Suffering From Hiatus Hernia?

Endescopy showed hiatus hernia with a linear ulcer on it. My pain is an aching, gnawing constant one, right in the middle of my stomach. I don t have heartburn or any other GORD symptoms. Surgeon said I have a nice healthy stomach . Have had to triple Esomeprazole dose to 60 mgs a day and still not under control. Any ideas??

Hi,

Hiatus hernia generally cause abdominal pain with burning sensation and there will be GERD symptoms also. You can take analgesics like Tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist, you can consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query.
