What Causes Abdominal Pain With Flatulence?

39 asian female, menses Nov 6-12, abdominal pain LLQ goes away when supine, tender to touch, no fever, ate (stupidly) at Burger King Mon evening. Onset next morning, vomiting. No diarrhea. Some bloating, + flatulence and last BM Monday. At Disney world for the week. Seem to walk ok, occasional cramping. Nothing that brings me to my knees. Back pain because I am walking in flip flops, perhaps? Have one day left (today) and headed home tomorrow morning. Warrant an ER visit? Pain tolerable with Motrin.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Burger induced GI upset.

Primary working tips to handle the issue
- drink more liquids
- prefer soft, easily palatable diet, organic fresh fruits
- avoid all dairy fat, junk foods
- intake of PPI as Omeprazole or Pantoprazole
- avoid Motrin (which can increase the issue of gastritis)
- no need to visit ER, unless the intensity of pain is severe (say more than 5 on a scale of 10 for pain.)

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
