What Causes Abdominal Swelling And Lower Back Pain While Suffering From Diverticulitis?
I have had diverticulitis back in May was on antibiotics it went away and then the systems came back but the second ct scan showed no diverticulitis I just had a colon my colon checked everything looks good my ct scan showers all organs look good but I am still having pain and lots of swelling in my stomach my lower back hurts also I m at a lost at wher do I go now
You may also be having constipation which may cause bloating and pain. You may try Movicol 2 sachets a day till you get regular easy stools and then one a day for another 2-3 weeks. Try to eat food high in fiber, drink plenty of water and stay active.
If you are not better with this treatment or you notice any worsening then you will need to see your doctor again.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
