Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past couple of weeks I ve had some sort of brown discharge along with small amounts of blood. I also haven t had my period for a few months so I thought that s what it is but it s been here for a while. Although I don t normally get my period every month anyways. I don t know why it s happening and I want it to stop. I don t want to go to the doctors office though because I prefer that only I know about this problem. any suggestions would help:) sorry about this!
I think you should get further investigations. We cannot give a precise diagnosis without a good physical and genital examination together with Pap smear testing, transvaginal ultrasound and hormonal balance.
So, to me, although you do not like it, you should see a gynecologist as soon as possible.
After re-assuring that there is no abnormality, we then, can tell that it is a hormonal imbalance issue, and you might require hormonal replacement pills.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
