What Causes Absence Of Menstruation With Spotting?

I am pregnant. i m not sure how far along, i missed march and april s period. I made a doctors appointment which is may 13. I have 2 other kids. i am having some spotting and bleeding. i never had this with any of my other children. now i m feeling anxiety because i m afraid something might be wrong. i don t know what to do. it doesn t bleed like a normal period.

Hello,

You have missed periods and now you are having spotting and bleeding. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a Gynae, get pregnancy test done. You may be asked by your Gynae to get USG(Uterus and fallopian tubes) done. If you are pregnant then bleeding and spotting may be indicative of placenta previa or abruptio placenta, it may be require you to stay in best rest and your treating doctor will give you medicines to control bleeding.

It may be a sign of tubal pregnancy, you will be managed and treated accordingly. Sometime, if spotting ,bleeding is associated with abdominal cramps, it may be indicative of early miscarriage. You will be managed accordingly. Avoid doing heavy work. Stay away from addictions if any. Stay at rest.
