Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having an acid stomach for a while. I was diagnosed with a sliding hiatal hernia a while back. last year my primary care Dr prescribed protonix. I throw up often, very often. Yesterday I noticed some red blood as I threw up. It was bright red and thread like. today, my stomach has not bothered me at all, no N/V, I feel fine. Should I be concerned
Start pantoprazole and Levosulpiride combination on empty stomach twice daily. Avoid oily and spicy food. Avoid junk food.
Avoid large meals, instead, take frequent small meals. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm. Take 2-3 pillows under the head in bed to prevent reflux. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Kaushal Bhavsar, Pulmonologist
