I am fighting an infection in my toe. I was in the hospital for two days on IV antibiotic. Upon release, the same oral antibiotic plus an additional one was prescribed. I had taken them religiously every six hours and immediately began struggling with severe acid reflux, nausea, and liquid diarrhea. Consequently, I could not eat anything, but maybe a single cracker or bite of applesauce, etc. This went on for three days until I saw my primary physician and the wound clinic. Then, I was advised to stop the antibiotics and be tested for c-diff (negative). I began vomiting every hour up to twice an hour and after a little over half a day of that I went to the ER. A fusion antibiotic was administered and acid blockers & anti-nausea meds were prescribed. Vomiting has slowed down and acid has lessened; however, when I do vomit, what used to be yellowish, dark greenish, and sometimes brownish liquid vomit has turned into a dark brown vomit that is denser and not like the previous. It does not smell like fecal matter. It is just dark brown and denser. Anything I need to be concerned about? Thank you.
